This book review is part of my Blogtober celebration, my month-long blog party about all things creepy and Halloween-y! If you've got a fall-related post, make sure to add it to the Linky! This book is BEAUTIFUL. I cannot stress that enough. From the textures in the cover to the intricacies in each illustration, I was blown away by this book.

It was made up of five short stories, each so individual and interesting that I purposely took a day between each one so I could think about them separately. If I wanted to, I could have read the book in less than an hour, but I think it's much better to savor the stories and take them in slowly. I loved looking at every illustration alongside the hand-lettering one at a time, and I found if I really slowed down and appreciated the story, it was so much creepier that way. I could feel the suspense building as I flipped each page.
There's really nothing left for me to say because this was such a different read for me, but I will say that this is one you'll want to have on your shelf for eternity, even if it is just for aesthetics. But the stories are just as wonderful as the artwork.
And stay tuned tomorrow for a special Through the Woods-related giveaway! Be sure to follow the blog so you can stay updated throughout the Blogtober celebration!
